COMMENTS - A timber framed building which had decayed over a period of years. Eradicure Ltd. carried out extensive resin repairs in the house including the sole plate.

The decayed timber was cut away leaving the inner section intact. A new section of oak was fixed to form the outer edge and act as a permanent shutter. The beam was then filled with Timber Grout. Note from the pictures the bottoms of the uprights were repaired using Moulding Mortar.

The owners continued to use their lounge throughout and did not move any furnishings including very expensive carpeting.

The work was partially funded by a grant and carried out in cooperation with the Conservation Officer from the Local Authority.
